Continuing Education Credits (CEC) Program Information
The AAST Continuing Education Credit (CEC) Program provides educational providers with the opportunity to apply for and award their attendees AAST-approved CECs for in-person and online events. CECs earned through AAST-approved educational opportunities will be accepted by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) for purposes of registered and certified polysomnographic technologist recertification.

Providers can submit program offerings for AAST-approved CEC review for approval in the CEC portal.
How Fees are Calculated
- Standard Offering: 1–4 CECs at $35 per CEC
Examples: 1 CEC = $35, 4 CECs = $140 - Day-Plus program: 5 or more CECs at $27 per CEC, with a minimum charge of 8 CECs
Examples: 5–8 CECs = $216, 9 CECs = $243, 12 CECs = $324 - Late application fee: The existing $75 fee remains in place for applications submitted within 30 days of the program start date.
- Attendance reporting: The application fee includes attendance reporting for the first time the program is offered.
- Repeat offerings: If the same program is offered again under the application, the provider pays $1 per attendee when the attendance roster is submitted. This applies to both CEC and Letter of Attendance attendees, as well as members and nonmembers.

- Report approved-program attendance (by individual or via bulk upload) for AAST members and guests
- View your program submission status and history
- Search practitioner directory (AAST Members and Guests)
- Copy existing approved-programs for new applications!

Note: All attendees of AAST-approved events who wish to claim AAST Continuing Education Credits through their AAST account must have an AAST User ID. Attendees must have at least a free guest account with the AAST to obtain and provide educational providers with their User ID.
