AAST Announces Annual Meeting Award Winners

Each year the AAST recognizes individual members for their professional excellence, service and commitment to the association and to the sleep technology profession. The AAST congratulates the following recipients of the 2014 AAST Awards:

Rose Anne Zumstein, RST, RPSGT AAST Peter A. McGregor Award – outstanding service and contribution to the association and organizational development.

Lisa Bond, RST, RPSGTAAST Sharon A. Keenan Award – outstanding contributions to sleep technology education.

Cindy Kistner, RST, RPSGT, REEGTAAST Elliott D. Weitzman Award – service and dedication to the advancement of the sleep technology profession.

Joseph Kuzma, RPSGTAAST German Nino-Murcia Scholarship Award – an AAST member who has recently passed the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists credentialing examination and who best exemplifies excellence in the performance of a polysomnogram and in patient care.

Erik Smales, RPSGTAAST Mary Carskadon, PhD Research Award – original abstract in clinical or basic research deemed to represent excellence by a sleep technologist.

Kevin Asp, RPSGT, CRTAAST A2Zzz Literary Award – original article published in A2Zzz magazine deemed to represent excellence in technical literary writing by a sleep technologist.
