DESCRIPTION:The AAST 2026 Call for Volunteers is now open – this is your chance to make a real difference! Apply now! \nServing on an AAST committee isn’t just a commitment—it’s an opportunity to collaborate with peers and content experts\, shape the future of sleep technology\, and expand your professional network. Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding—gaining insights from colleagues\, contributing to meaningful initiatives\, and helping advance the AAST. \nThere are opportunities across various committees\, including editorial\, standards and guidelines\, accreditation\, and education. Committees meet virtually each month\, with additional project-based work between sessions. Applicants will be notified of committee assignments in April. SUMMARY:AAST RPSGT Exam Study Club-August
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Program: Wednesdays (September 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, skip September 30\, and October 7 and 14) \n\nThis six-session program will take place over six weeks\, with sessions scheduled from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Eastern (3:00 PM to 4:30 PM Central) on the following dates: September 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, October 7\, and October 14.This RPSGT Exam Study Club course is $399 for members and $599 for non-members. \nDesigned to help you prepare for the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credentialing exam\, the AAST Study Club offers an engaging and supportive environment for exam preparation. \n\nEach 90-minute session will include: \n\nA concise review of key Domains and Tasks outlined in the RPSGT Exam Blueprint\nAn interactive discussion focused on core concepts and best practices\nA guided review of practice exam questions to reinforce learning and test-taking strategies\n\nParticipants are encouraged to actively engage with presenters and peers throughout the sessions to deepen understanding and boost confidence ahead of the exam. \nThe Study Club enables you to prepare for the exam over an extended period. \n\n\nWho Should Attend?\nThe program is a vital resource for sleep professionals who are preparing for the RPSGT credentialing exam. \n\n\nWhat Will Attendees Learn from the AAST RPSGT Exam Study Club?\nUpon completion of the course\, participants should be able to: \n\nSummarize the RPSGT exam blueprint\nComprehend key concepts related to normal sleep and variants\nUnderstand criteria for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders\nIdentify key studying and test-taking strategies\n\n\n\nAgenda\nHeld via Zoom\, the sessions are filled with mock domain (task) exam questions\, giving participants a wealth of opportunities for interactive\, real-time practice. Faculty engage with attendees and discuss the correct answers and rationale to confirm comprehension. Attendees will also be able to interact with other study club attendees\, where they can ask questions\, share study tips\, access video recordings of study club sessions\, and access assigned readings. \n\n\nSpeaker\nLaree Fordyce\, MS\, RPSGT\, RST\, CCSH\, FAAST \n\n\nContinuing Education\nThe American Association of Sleep Technologists will provide Continuing Education Credits (CECs) to registrants for the sessions they attended upon completion of the program. \nAAST RPSGT Exam Study Club: A maximum of 9 AAST CECs. Individuals should only claim those credits earned as a result of this activity. \n\n\nConfirmation and Registration Disclaimer\nConfirmation will be sent via email within one week of receipt of the registration form and payment. All attendees must pre-register. \n\n\nCancellation Policy\nAttendees will receive a full refund of all registration fees when a cancellation request is submitted in writing to the AAST Education Dept. at info@aastweb.org by Tuesday\, August 25\, 2026. After this date\, no refunds will be available. Refunds are not provided to no-shows. The AAST reserves the right to cancel this course and provide a full refund should conditions warrant. The refund will only include the cost of registration for the event.
