The AAST Awards Program recognizes individual members for their professional excellence, service, and commitment to the association and to the sleep technology profession. The 2026 Awards Nominations period is now open through February 8, 2026.

AAST Awards Program
AAST Awards recognize individuals who are highly regarded in the sleep technology field and demonstrate qualities and attributes that align with the AAST’s mission, vision and values. Â
- Leadership to the growth and development of AAST
- Service of the sleep technology profession
- Professional Development and Service to advancing education in sleep technology
- Literary excellence for authoring an original published article, paper, or textbook/resource chapter as a literary writing for a sleep technologist
Nomination Requirements
Nominations must be submitted by an AAST member. Nominators are required to complete the AAST Awards Nomination Form and provide supporting documentation to the AAST. 
- Step 1. Complete the Awards Requirement Matrix to confirm all criteria.
- Step 2. Submit a Letter of Documentation of Contribution outlining the candidate’s contributions to the sleep technology profession and providing sufficient evidence in the nominator’s judgment to substantiate the qualifications for each requirement. 
Selection Process
Nominations will be evaluated annually by the Awards Selection Committee, in accordance with the AAST Awards requirements. Award recipients will be notified in spring and recognized at the AAST 2026 Annual Meeting, during the Annual Membership Meeting, June 14, 2026.
